just use powerstrip to get the resolution you want, i haven't tried it yet. uninstall the lot of ati stuff, run driver cleaner pro and remove any traces of ati, and reinstall the ati suite & everything should work :) had a similar problem – Rt-click on the monitor | properties | Driver tab | Rollback Driver button This will put you back to the old driver. | devmgmt.msc | Enter will get you to the Says it is out of range... But the ATI driver and Catalyst control centre doesn't show this resolution as an option. Since it was the login screen, I typed in my pw anyway, not knowing if it would work. r7 260x good for 1680x1050 resolution?
After that you should be able to select 1680x1050 again. u need to modify the registry by urself to insert new DTD data. But the monitor shows 1400x1050 abd the screen looks weird, thus the resolution definitely isnt 1680x1050. Formatting again. Thanks! Checked the monitor driver, it reverted back to a Generic PNP monitor, previously it was a Generic Non-PNP monitor.
